Get Started!
Here are 4 important questions you and your future spouse should ask:
1) What's our budget? Select a budget
you can both agree on and stick to it—even
if it means giving up the super cute
monogramed napkins to stay on track.
2) What are our priorities? Choose the elements that matter the most to you, and to your spouse, and structure your budget around those things. If a jaw dropping reception setting is your heart's desire, then a good portion of your budget may go to lavish décor. Once you've priced these items, you'll know how much you have left to allocate toward other elements.

3) What's our timeline? A timeline will ensure your wedding planning stays on schedule and doesn’t get too overwhelming, especially in those final weeks before the big day.
4) Who will help us? Many brides turn to trusted friends or family members to help them plan and even to help with coordination on the big day. Be realistic about how much you want to ask of your loved ones, who might also want to just relax and enjoy the happy occasion. Consider enlisting a professional wedding planner. An expert in everything from budgeting and coordination to proper etiquette, a wedding planner will be with you every step, helping to create a beautiful (and low stress) celebration.
Get ready for Brides On Tour!
• Come as a couple or bring a friend. Share Brides On Tour with your partner (yes, grooms are very welcome, and, as you’ll see on our videos, they have great time)! You’ll find that visiting actual venues and meeting wedding industry experts will inspire and inform you—it’s a great way to discover where your priorities are so that you can start planning. Inviting a friend or family member who will play an important supporting role in the big event is also a good way to share ideas.

• Take notes. Our Brides On Tour program guide helps you keep track of your favorite venues and exhibitors so you can follow up with meetings after the tour.
• Get to know your neighbors. For one day, you'll be traveling with other couples going through the same process as you are, so take advantage of it! You’ll make new friends, and maybe get some great ideas along the way.
• Dress comfortably & enjoy the journey. Wear comfy shoes and clothing and be ready to sample great food, take in beautiful décor, and make the most of your day. We look forward to meeting you!
